Ralph Waldo Emerson is credited with saying, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” Keeping up with current recruiting trends can be exasperating as a seasoned worker. We dust off those resumes with the belief that all we need to do is update it with the latest employer. Then, something happens while we start searching for the next milestone for our career. My recent career search has offered the chance to do the research, interview managers, and recruiters. There are so many different opinions, ideas, and methods that are currently being used and it can be difficult for career seekers to know what they should do.
