seemikefowler.tech: A Journey Onward

Ralph Waldo Emerson is credited with saying, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” Keeping up with current recruiting trends can be exasperating as a seasoned worker. We dust off those resumes with the belief that all we need to do is update it with the latest employer. Then, something happens while we start searching for the next milestone for our career. The greatest joy is observing their reaction as a “wow” factor is received. User experience is so rewarding. Mr. Emerson is correct. Being useful, honorable, and compassionate is the difference we can make and that’s where joy and happiness can be experienced.
